Artist Statement:
If dim sum restaurants are stages for Chinatown to come together, dim sum servers are their forgotten orchestra. The Sum Of Us elevated these familiar figures into interactive digital sculptures that engage with the uniquely social medium of an NFT. As a post-script, this print edition grounds the NFTs as intaglio prints. All profits contribute to Welcome to Chinatown’s Longevity Fund – the only small business relief program exclusively for Manhattan’s Chinatown.
